The sequel of the popular Marvel Cinematic Universe film, Black Panther, was released recently in theatres across the world. Titled Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, this American superhero film is based on the Marvel Comics character Black Panther. As per reports, the film has made remarkable collections at the box office and is also expected to release soon on the OTT platform.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever – Cast and Crew
The film is produced by Marvel Studios and is the 30th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is directed by Ryan Coogler and stars popular names like Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Winston Duke, Florence Kasumba, and many others. The screenplay has been written by Ryan Coogler and Joe Robert Cole, and is distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. In this sequel of the Black Panther. Wakanda leaders join hands to protect their nation and fight in the wake of their king’s death.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever – OTT release date – Where to Watch
As per reports, the digital rights for the film have already been acquired. Fans can soon watch Black Panther: Wakanda Forever on Disney Plus Hotstar.
While the OTT release details for the film have not been announced yet, it is expected that the film will stream in mid-December, which is approximately 45 days after the theatrical release. Experts from the trade industry anticipate Black Panther: Wakanda Forever to stream on Disney+ Hotstar on December 25, 2022. However, official confirmation is awaited.

For the unaware, the official synopsis of the 2018 film reads, “After the death of his father, the king of Wakanda, young T’Challa returns home to the isolated high-tech African nation to succeed to the throne and take his rightful place as king. But when a powerful enemy reappears, T’Challa’s mettle as king – and Black Panther – is tested when he’s drawn into a formidable conflict that puts the fate of Wakanda and the entire world at risk. Faced with treachery and danger, he must release the full power of Black Panther to defeat his foes and secure the safety of his people and their way of life.”
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever – Production
The sequel, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, was announced in February 2018 and the development began in mid-2019. However, plans were then change in the midst of 2020, post actor Chadwick Boseman’s demise. The team decided not to recast any actor for the role of T’Challa.
Post the return of the cast in November 2020, the announcement of the film was made in May 2021, and the production continued until November 2021. The film premiered in October 2022 and released on November 11, 2022. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever marks the final film in Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
