Black Shark had launched its third generation gaming smartphone last March. The brand had also released a third variant in the Black Shark 3 series called the Black Shark 3S later in July last year.

Now Black Shark is working on the fourth iteration of its gaming smartphone. The Black Shark 4 with codename Kaiser or KSR-A0 has been spotted on the Google Play Console listing revealing key specifications of the device. In addition, the device has been spotted on the Google Play supported devices list, suggesting an imminent launch. The upcoming offering has also been teased by the company’s CEO.

As per the Google Play Console listing, the Black Shark 4 will retain the FHD+ display measuring 1,080 x 2,400 pixels from the standard Black Shark 3. It will offer a pixel density of 440 pixels.
The listing reveals that the gaming smartphone will be powered by an outdated Snapdragon 835 processor and Adreno 540 GPU. We assume that this is an error and the device will house a flagship chipset, possibly the Snapdragon 888. We’ll update this post if the listing is modified. The Play Console listing reveals that the Black Shark 4 comes with 8GB RAM and we can expect more variants of the device. It will ship with Android 11 out of the box.

The Black Shark CEO confirmed that the upcoming offering will support 120W fast charging. The device will be backed by a 4,500mAh battery unit that is touted to go from zero to full in 15 minutes. The gaming smartphone’s prototype managed to achieve 788,505 points on AnTuTu benchmark that is higher than Mi 11, OPPO Find X3 etc.
The phone is expected to come with a Snapdragon 888 chipset and FHD+ OLED display. The Black Shark 4 will arrive as the successor to last year’s Black Shark 3. Not much else is known about the smartphone’s specifications and features, but we can expect it to pack upgrades over its predecessor. Since the smartphone has been teased, we can expect the device to launch soon.
