Black Shark Rookie Kit launched in India for Rs 3,498

Xiaomi-backed Black Shark has announced its first gaming accessory in India. The Rookie Kit gamepad comprises of two components – the Black Shark Gamepad and Gamepad 2.0 holder. The former pairs with on the left side of the Black Shark 2 using a holder. It is aimed at mobile gamers and developed with portability and convenience in mind. 

Out of the box, the controller works with the most popular Android games. It offers a 6+1+ Analog-stick customisable button layout. All the physical buttons can interact with sections of the touchscreen and users can save a button layout for each game they play. The Gamepad is equipped with Bluetooth 4.2 for connecting to the phone. The kit is compact and lightweight weighing just 20 grams. The Gamepad is powered by a 340mAh battery unit that is claimed to offer 40 hours of battery life on a single charge. It can be refueled via a USB Type-C port. 

The Gamepad is also compatible with Xiaomi’s latest Redmi K20 series.

The Black Shark Rookie Kit is exclusively available on Flipkart starting August 8th for Rs 3,498. The Gamepad is priced at Rs 2,999 while the Gamepad holder costs Rs 499. 

As a part of Flipkart’s National Shopping Days Sale from August 8th-10th, both the variants of Black Shark 2 are available at a flat Rs 5,000 discount. The base variant (6GB+128GB) is priced at Rs 34,999 (Regular Price: Rs 39,999) while the higher model i.e 12GB+256GB retails at Rs 44,999 instead of Rs 49,999. Customers purchasing the Black Shark 2 can get the Gamepad and holder at Rs 2 during the sale period.
