BB Merah Putih, the maker and distributor of BlackBerry-branded phones in Indonesia, has pulled the wraps off the affordable BlackBerry Aurora. We are yet to hear from the company if it is positive about launching the phone in India.
In terms of specifications of the BlackBerry Aurora, it gets power by Qualcomm’s entry-level Snapdragon 425 quad-core chip, 4GB RAM, and 32GB internal memory. We are expecting this combination to be power-efficient considering that it packs a 3,000mAh battery. Running multiple apps at a time would hardly be a problem on this phone.
The phone measures 152 mm in height, 76.8 mm and 8.5 mm in thickness, and weighs 178 g. It flaunts a plastic body and runs Google’s latest Android 7.0 Nougat operating system. The device sports a bigger 5.5-inch display with 1280 x 720 pixels HD resolution and 276 PPI pixel density. It houses a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP selfie camera.
The BlackBerry Aurora comes in a variety of colour options like Gold, Black, and Silver. It comes at the price of IDR 3,499 (Rs 33,799).
In other news, the BlackBerry KEYone, the company’s newly announced smartphone, is spotted on a retailer website in India. The listing suggests that it will cost Rs 33,999.
