BlackBerry KEYone launches in UK; could be coming to India soon

The most-awaited BlackBerry KEYone has finally made it to the UK. The device is up for grabs via Selfridges for £499 (Rs 41,436). BlackBerry will also sell the phone via Carphone Warehouse starting May 5th. To recall, it was first announced at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona earlier this year. The key attraction, it comes with one of its kind smart keyboard, retaining the company’s QWERTY standard.

Specs-wise, the KEYone has a relatively smaller 4.5-inch 1080p IPS display with 443 ppi pixel density and Corning Gorilla Glass protection. Powering the device is an octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor and Adreno 506 GPU for graphics. It equips 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage that is expandable.

It runs Android Nougat out of the box and packs a 3,505mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support. It houses a 12-megapixel rear camera and 8-megapixel front camera. There’s also a fingerprint sensor. The set of connectivity options includes 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and a USB Type-C port. It weighs 180g.

The KEYone was found listed on an online retailer in March with a price tag of Rs 39,999. BlackBerry has confirmed that will it start selling the KEYone in the US and Canada from May 31st.
