boAt’s Storm smartwatch offers an SpO2 sensor and 10-day battery life for Rs 1,999

boAt is a well-known brand when it comes to audio products like TWS earbuds, in-ear and over-ear headphones. The brand also sells other products like Bluetooth speakers, soundbars, and mobile accessories. In July, the company ventured into wearables by launching the ProGear B20 fitness tracker. Today, the company announced boAt Storm as its first smartwatch.

The boAt Storm features a large square-shaped display and it comes in two strap options. It is packed with several health tracking features. The smartwatch offers up to 10 days of battery life. It is one of the cheapest smartwatches from a mainstream brand.

The boAt Storm offers users a 1.3-inch touchscreen display with 2.5D curved glass. The company claims that the screen is readable under bright sunlight. Once paired with its boAt ProGear app, users can customise the screen by making use of cloud-based watchfaces. The smartwatch is equipped with a metal body and a skin-friendly and user-changeable silicone strap. With 5ATM water-resistance, the boAt Storm can be used underwater as well.

When it comes to health tracking features, the boAt Storm supports 24-hour heart rate monitoring, SpO2 blood oxygen level and blood pressure monitoring, and sleep tracking. The breathing mode assists in lowering the heart rate which in turn decreases the stress levels. The Daily Activity Tracker on the smartwatch can track calories, steps, and distance. It tracks 9 sports activities such as running, walking, cycling, hiking, climbing, fitness, treadmill, yoga, and cycling. For women, the boAt Storm comes with a built-in Menstruation Cycle Tracker for recording and predicting menstrual and ovulation cycles.

The boAt Storm comes with support for Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity. Once paired with a smartphone, the boAt Storm offers features like call and text notifications, music control, and remote camera control. It has a 210mAh battery that takes around 2.5 hours to fully charge through USB. It offers a standby time of up to 15 hours and a normal usage time of up to 10 days.

The boAt Storm has a price tag of Rs 1,999 and it comes in Active Black and Black & Blue colours. The smartwatch will be available for purchase for the first time at 12pm on October 29th. It can be bought through boAT’s official website or Flipkart.
