A smartphone is worthy of being called ‘smart’ only when there are useful apps installed. Here is a list of a few apps that made my life easier and should enhance your smartphone experience.
Flipboard is an application which synchronises all news feed in a magazine format. By bringing world news and social feed in one place, it saves the hassles of the user from switching from one app to another. Flipboard can be connected to 12 social networks and it can be easily customized as per the need of the user. Flipboard allows the user to “flip” news like one would do in a magazine. News content which ranges from technology to lifestyle can be accessed and saved for offline reading. It includes a section of “Cover Stories” which serves as highlights. Moreover, you can create your personalised magazine which can be easily shared with everyone. Through this app one can even subscribe to international magazines.
If you are a person who loves to discover new eateries, but bored of going to the same places again again — then here’s the solution. Zomato is essentially a “Restaurant Finder” app which helps the user to find nearby restaurants. The search engine in this app filters options as per the mood/preference of the user. It also provides the menu, rating, direction and the contact details of the restaurant.
An outdoorsy experience with Zomato can be complimented with Book My Show (BMS). BMS is an app for all ticketing and entertainment needs. It allows the user to book movie and event tickets (like plays, concerts, matches etc) on the go. The app provides all the details which one would require, like the show timings, seat availability, price, review etc.
Put these two apps together, and you’ve got yourself a great time!
Clean Master (Android)
Frustrated with your sluggish Android smartphone, then this is the app you would need to boost your phone. Clean Master helps to clear junk files, which tend to eat up a large amount of phone memory. Tasks running in the background not only occupy system RAM but also drain the battery. With this app, you can easily free up some RAM and boost your device. Clean Master also serves as an “App Manager” by allowing the user to uninstall, backup or move the apps from device to SD card.
Are you tired of remembering tasks in your daily life and need someone to remember those for you? Then Colornote can come to your rescue. Colornote is an app which will make your life easy, efficient and colorful by organising tasks. With this app, you can create text notes or a checklist. The notes can be saved on the cloud so that the user can access it from anywhere. Moreover, Colornote actively reminds the user of all important notes thus ensuring that none of them are missed. With this app, the user can choose different colors for notes, thus making it attractive and useful.
Google Drive (Android and iOS)
You may not realise it but your smartphone is always in the danger of theft or malfunctioning. Cloud services allow you to backup your data on a regular basis so you don’t have to sweat when such an unfortunate event occurs. Google Drive is one such application that allows the user to save data (photos, videos and documents) on their cloud. It also makes your data easily accessible from any other device you login as well. It provides a decent free storage of 15GB to the user, which can be expanded. The photos, videos and other documents can be shared with specific people as well. Apart from archiving stuff, Google Drive allows allows you to create and edit documents and spreadsheets.
