BSNL introduces a new broadband plan with 40MBPS speed, unlimited data and more

  • BSNL has launched its new Fiber Basic plan at Rs 499
  • The plan offers 40Mbps speed with unlimited data and calling benefits
  • This is a new offering different from the old Fiber Basic plan

BSNL has expanded its fibre broadband plans portfolio with the new Fibre Basic plan. The latest plan comes with 40MBPS of speed and a monthly 3.3TB data limit. It costs Rs 499 per month and offers unlimited voice calling as well.

However, BSNL already has a broadband plan named Fiber Basic, so how is this different? Well, BSNL has changed the old name Fiber Basic to Fiber Basic Neo and launched a new plan called Fiber Basic. So before you get more confused, let’s look at both plans separately.

BSNL Rs 499 Fiber Basic plan

The latest Fiber Basic plan comes with a 40Mbps speed with up to 3300GB high-speed data per month. Once the FUP limit is reached, the speed reduces to 4Mbps. In addition, the plan provides unlimited data download and calling across local and STD networks. BSNL also provides 90% off (up to Rs 500) on the first month’s rent.

BSNL Rs 449 Fiber Basic Neo plan

This plan was earlier available with the Fiber Basic name. But now BSNL has changed the name to Fiber Basic Neo and reduced the speed to 30Mbps from 40Mbps. Besides, all the benefits remain the same as above.

Moreover, according to the reports, BSNL will shortly terminate the Rs 275 and Rs 775 broadband plans introduced in August of this year. November 15 is likely to be the last date for these two plans.
