As per a report from Kerala Telecom, the telecom operator has drastically reduced the daily data limit being offered with the affordable BSNL prepaid plan. However, the pack still offers unlimited voice calling and SMS benefits to its users. Let’s take a look at the newly revised benefits of the prepaid plan.
BSNL Rs 18 prepaid plan now offers 1GB data per day
Previously, the BSNL Rs 18 prepaid plan used to offer unlimited voice calling and unlimited video calling. Apart from these, the pack offered 1.8GB of data per day to the users for the duration of its validity. The pack comes with the validity of two days. In case the user exhausted the FUP data before two days, the data speed would then drop to 80 Kbps.
After the revision, BSNL is still offering the unlimited video calling and voice calling facility to users. However, the daily data limit has been reduced to 1GB per day. However, BSNL has introduced an added benefit of 100 SMSes per day as well. The validity of the prepaid plan remains the same as before and the speed would still drop to 80 Kbps post the FUP limit.
The newly revised benefits will come into effect starting February 5th and will be applicable in all circles where BSNL operates. Users can recharge with Rs 18 through the official BSNL portal, third-party recharge apps, and SMS. To recharge through SMS, users will need to send ‘STV COMBO18’ to 123 or use the USSD code ‘*444*18#’.
