BSNL Rs 199 prepaid plan launched with 2GB daily data and 30-days validity

BSNL has discontinued its prepaid voucher of Rs 186 in India. The plan used to offer 2GB data per day for 28 days. In its place, the government-owned PSU has launched a new prepaid voucher called the BSNL PV199. As the name suggests, the new plan comes in a denomination of Rs 199.

The new plan comes with a validity of 30 days, which is two additional days over the Rs 186 plan. It will be made available across all telecom circles where BSNL operates, from December 24th. The Rs 186 plan will be discontinued from January 1st. Let’s take a look at all benefits provided by the new plan.

The newly-launched BSNL PV199 is a combo plan, which means it offers data, calling and SMS benefits to its users. Those who recharge with BSNL Rs 199 prepaid voucher will get 2GB data per day for the duration of the validity. The plan comes with a validity of 30 days. Apart from data, users will also get 250 minutes of voice calling and 100 SMSes per day. The plan will be available from December 24th.

In related news, BSNL will also revise its Rs 998 prepaid recharge from December 24th. The Rs 998 plan is a data-only plan with 240 days of validity. Currently, the plan offers 2GB data per day, amounting to 480GB data benefit. From December 24th, the Rs 998 plan will offer 3GB data per day, totalling to a whopping 720GB data for 240 days.

However, the Rs 998 plan will be revised only for a limited duration and will go back to 2GB data per day from March 23, 2021.
