The state-run telecom operator, BSNL recently launched four new broadband plans priced at Rs 449, Rs 799, Rs 999 and Rs 1,499. The telco intended to compete with Jio’s ‘truly unlimited’ plans priced at Rs 399, Rs 699, Rs 999, Rs 1,499. Now, the company has announced an all-new ‘Fiber Basic Plus’ plan at Rs 599.
With this new fiber plan, BSNL is taking on the Rs 499 Airtel Xstream fiber plan. BSNL has rolled out the new plan in all circles across the country, where it offers its Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) services. Apart from this, BSNL has also rolled out the base Rs 449 fiber plan in all circles as well. Let’s take a look at the benefits offered by the BSNL Fiber Basic Plus broadband plan.
Rs 599 BSNL Fiber Basic Plus plan benefits and details
BSNL’s all-new Fiber Basic Plus plan comes with 60Mbps high-speed data up to 3.3TB or 3,300GB. Post the monthly data limit is exhausted, the speed will be restricted to 2Mbps. Since there’s no limit on how much the user can download or upload at 2Mbps post the FUP limit, BSNL is marketing this plan as an unlimited data plan.
Additionally, those subscribing to this plan will receive 24 hours of unlimited calling to any network within India. As of now, there’s no word on other benefits being offered by the new plan and the plan is not yet listed on the official website of the telecom operator. According to TelecomTalk, the new Rs 599 Basic Plus plan is being offered only in a monthly option and there are no long term packages.
In comparison, the base Rs 449 broadband plan offers 30Mbps Internet speeds till 3,300GB and 2Mbps post the data limit is exhausted. Additionally, the telco is offering unlimited voice calling facilities to any network with this plan.
