CBSE Veer Gatha Project Competition 2021 is a new contest being introduced by Ministry of Defence in collaboration with Central Board of Secondary Education. With this competition, CBSE is adding to its long list of contests that includes the likes of CBSE CHITRAM Online Art Workshop & Competition 2021, CBSE Junior Skills Championship and CBSE Reading Challenge 2.0.
While CBSE is known for a number of contests, the Veer Gatha Project Competition 2021 is unique since it offers a cash prize of Rs 10,000. The competition is being held from October 21st to November 20th, 2021. The idea of this competition is to spread awareness about the gallantry awards announced twice in a year to honour the acts of bravery and sacrifice of the officers or personnel of the Armed Forces, other lawfully-constituted Forces and Civilians.
What is the CBSE Veer Gatha Project Competition 2021?
The CBSE Veer Gatha Project Competition 2021 is a project or competition that is open to all schools in all states and Union Territories including all schools affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The Ministry of Defence (MoD) proposed the idea of this competition to disseminate the details of acts of bravery and the life stories of these brave-hearts among the students.
The proposal encouraged school students to do projects/activities based on gallantry award winners. The competition is being held by the Ministry of Education, Department of School Education & Literacy from October 21st to November 20th, 2021. A total of 25 selected entries will be eligible to win a cash prize and each of these 25 winners will also be invited for the Republic Day Celebration in the national capital.

The Veer Gatha Project Competition 2021 is eligible to school students and kids from Grade III to Class 12th can participate in this competition. From poem or paragraph or painting to essay, multi media presentation, the competition changes depending on which class the student is participating in right now.

CBSE Veer Gatha Project Competition 2021: Timeline
|21st October to 20th November 2021.||Conduct of Activities at the School Level : Schools shall themselves conduct the activities on the above topics.|
|1st November to 30th November 2021.||As soon as the conduct of activity is complete at the school level, Schools shall upload 01 best entry per category, a total of 04 from each school, at the CBSE Veer Gatha portal.|

CBSE Veer Gatha Project Competition 2021: terms and conditions
- All the participating schools are eligible for a maximum of 4 entries.
- The participating students must submit their entries between November 1st and November 30th, 2021.
- There is no participation fee for the workshop/competition.
- Schools will conduct the activities themselves first.
- They will then upload the entries directly on CBSE Veer Gatha portal.
