Priyanka Telecom owned CENTRiC Mobiles has launched another high value for money smartphone dubbed as the CENTRiC L3. Prior to this smartphone, the company had released the CENTRiC A1, which we found to be a promising mid-budget smartphone. This time around, the brand has launched a smartphone for people who are on a tighter budget. Coming to the first and foremost aspect that truly makes this phone stand out – the price. CENTRiC has priced the L3 at Rs. 6749 which is a very competitive price for the features it has to offer. Let’s have a closer look at what the phone has to offer.
Display and Design
The CENTRiC L3 features a stylish and modern design. The phone is coated with a glossy finish that gives it a premium feel. The back of the phone is where the primary camera is housed accompanied by some branding in a gold accent, adding to the phone’s look. The front of the phone is largely occupied by a 5-inch HD IPS display rocking a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The screen is also layered with 2.5D curved glass which gives users a seamless feel when swiping across the screen. Although the phone doesn’t have a display with an 18:9 aspect ratio, the company has managed to eliminate most of the bezels. The major bezels are found on the top and bottom of the phone which is where the front camera module and home button are found, respectively.
Performance and Storage
The stylish offering from CENTRiC is powered by a MediaTek MT6737 processor clocked at 1.3GHz. This processor is currently found on more expensive devices making the L3 a more lucrative deal. To add to that, the phone also packs in a Mali T720MP GPU and 2GB of DDR3 RAM for a seamless multitasking experience. Coming to storage, CENTRiC has equipped this offering with 16GB of internal storage. If that isn’t enough for you, the phone also has a dedicated microSD card slot through which you can expand the storage up to 256GB. Considering the dedicated SD card slot implies that you wouldn’t have to sacrifice the second SIM in lieu for extra storage. Kudos CENTRiC!
Camera and Software Features
In the optics department, the CENTRiC L3 has two sets of cameras located on either side of the device. The primary camera is located on the back. It comprises of a 13-megapixel autofocus sensor. This camera is capable of capturing clear images and thanks to the additional LED flash, you can also rely on it for capturing good images in low-light. Up front, the phone is equipped with a 5-megapixel selfie camera. This camera is capable of capturing vivid selfies and can prove useful for video calling. In addition to that, CENTRiC has added some neat software enhancements such as Face detection, Face beauty and HDR. The camera application also allows users to tweak ISO, Exposure values and White balance adjustments.

The second interesting feature is the gesture control, which is currently found on more expensive smartphones. The CENTRiC L3 can be woken up from a deep sleep state by making different gestures on the screen. This feature can be customised to change the gesture to open different applications as per your choice as well.
