South Korean electronics company LG, during the ongoing CES 2017, announced the new Gram line of laptops. The new LG Gram line, much like before, comprises LG Gram 13, Gram 14, and Gram 15 laptops. One of the laptops, LG Gram 14, has garnered a lot of attention since the company claimed that it offers 24 hours of battery life. These claims, however, are unsubstantiated, considering that LG used a decade-old benchmark to come to the conclusion.
That aside, LG Gram 14 is based on Intel’s 7th-gen Core i5 processor with 8GB RAM and 512GB storage using SSD. As far as the connectivity options are concerned, it comes with two USB 3.0 ports, a USB Type-C port, an HDMI port, and a memory card reader. The laptop is also claimed to offer a fingerprint reader for one-touch Windows login and 3 hours battery life for a 20-minute charge. LG Gram 14, as its name suggests, sports a 14-inch Full HD display.
Other LG Gram models — LG Gram 13 an LG Gram 15 models feature 13.3-inch and 15.6-inch screens. LG Gram 13 is powered by 7th-gen Intel Core i3 processor paired with 4GB RAM. LG Gram 15, on the other hand, packs in 7th-gen Intel Core i7 chip under the hood, which is combined with a whopping 16GB RAM. All other specs for Gram 13 and Gram 15 are similar to Gram 14. LG’s Korean press release states that it will be priced at as low as 1,420,000 won (approximately $,1200).
