ZTE has launched two new smartphones at CES – Blade V8 Pro and Hawkeye. The Blade V8 Pro is company’s new flagship device of this year and also the first ever Blade-series device to be available in the US market. The Hawkeye while on another hand is the name of company’s crowdsource project on Kickstarter which can be ordered from any part of the Globe for $199 (Rs 13,500).
The Blade V8 Pro will be available in the US market as an unlocked version for all networks. It sports a 5.5-inch Full HD display with 2.5D glass on top. It is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 625 chipset clubbed with 3GB of RAM. The phone has 32GB of internal storage which is further expandable with a MicroSD card.
The Blade V8 Pro features a dual rear camera setup with two 13MP sensors. The rear cameras can work together to produce a bokeh effect and can record 4K videos. The phone also flaunts a fingerprint scanner integrated into home button.
The company also announced the final name to be Hawkeye of its crowdsource project which can be preordered for $199. In the last year, ZTE asked users to give feedback about how smartphone should look and feel and then it act upon that idea. In October 2016, the company chose a design with eye-tracking sensor and self adhesive back panel and starting working on it. Finally at CES 2017, ZTE announced its name and now it’s available to pre-order.
