ASUS unveiled its new range of Republic of Gamers (ROG) laptops at CES 2023. It equips the new CPUs and GPUs from AMD, Intel, and NVIDIA and improved cooling technology. The 2023 Strix family includes new variants with enhanced cooling and displays measuring 16 and 18 inches. The new Zephyrus M16 features an AniMe Matrix display in a thin-and-light form factor and a revamped Flow X13 and XG Mobile featuring the latest hardware.
ASUS ROG Strix
The Strix SCAR has always been ROG’s performance flagship series, and 2023 is no exception. The Strix SCAR 16 and 18 have been renamed thanks to a chassis redesign that accommodates the larger 16-inch and 18-inch 16:10 aspect-ratio screens. It allows gamers to see the opponent more clearly than ever before, and the 16-inch model can even be outfitted with ROG’s revolutionary QHD, 240Hz Nebula HDR display with Mini LED technology.
The Strix SCAR 16 and 18 sport Intel’s top-of-the-line 13th Gen Intel Core i9 13980HX processor, with 8 Performance-cores and 16 Efficient-cores for unprecedented gaming prowess. Max out the machine with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 Laptop GPU at 175 W, with the thermal headroom to allow the silicon to boost higher and longer than ever before.
The SCAR family is not the only one receiving upgrades in 2023. The new Strix G16 and Strix G18 are powered by the same 13th Gen Intel Core i9 13980HX processor and can be configured with up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 Laptop GPU for outstanding esports performance. AMD’s Ryzen Zen 4 processor, with up to 16 full-performance cores, is a beast for gaming and content creation. Therefore the Strix G17 and Strix SCAR 17 have also been upgraded with this monster CPU. The 2023 Strix family is set to pour fire on the competition, thanks to NVIDIA’s latest GeForce RTX 40 series Laptop GPU in the top-tier variants.
ASUS ROG Zephyrus
The Zephyrus series has always been performance-focused, and this year, ASUS has upgraded the entire series to new heights, starting with the Zephyrus M16. It now comes with the Intel Core i9 13900H CPU and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 GPU with a MUX Switch and NVIDIA Advanced Optimus. The Zephyrus is also the first 16-inch device with ROG’s AniMe Matrix LED lighting array.
The iconic Zephyrus Duo 16 remains at the pinnacle of the lineup. The Duo 16 is a dream machine for gamers and video makers. It has a dual display configuration consisting of a 16-inch Mini LED panel and a 4K touchscreen that glides to meet it automatically as the laptop is opened. This year’s Duo 16 is even more powerful, with an AMD Ryzen Zen 4 processor with 16 cores and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 Laptop GPU with a MUX Switch.
ASUS ROG Flow
The 2023 Flow X13 now features up to an AMD Ryzen Zen 4 processor and up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU. The Flow X13 comprises up to 32 GB of ultrafast LPDDR5 RAM.
