‘Godfather’ Movie OTT Release Date: Chiranjeevi’s ‘Godfather’ to be available on Netflix from Nov 19

Telugu megastar Chiranjeevi’s Godfather has been on the much-awaited list for a long time. Fans have taken to social media to share their feelings, and many have been waiting for its release on the OTT platform. It is now announced that the movie will start streaming on the platform on November 19.

Besides Chiranjeevi, this Mohan Raja’s upcoming film also stars Bollywood superstar Salman Khan in a pivotal role. Pictures of both actors were shared recently on social media platforms and added to the excitement as this would be the first time fans will watch Chiranjeevi and Salman Khan’s collaboration for a project.

Trade media reports state that the buyers of Godfather were quoting a high sum for the film and that the OTT giant, Netflix, has bought the digital rights for a whopping INR 57 crores, which includes the rights to the Telugu and Hindi versions of the film.

Chiranjeevi will be seen playing the titular role of the film and will be accompanied by Lady Superstar, Nayanthara. The movie is an official remake of the Malayalam film, Lucifer.

Besides this, Salman will be seen as a significant part of the film as Chiranjeevi’s younger brother who is always beside him when he needs. Ahead of Dusshera, the makers of the film also shared the details about the film with a message that read, “Witness the rage of MEGASTARS. #GodFather Hindi Trailer out now.”

Nayanthara’s look was also shared on social media with a message that read, “Introducing Lady Superstar #Nayanthara as ‘Sathyapriya Jaidev’ from the world of #GodFather. First Single update soon. GRAND RELEASE ON OCT 5.”

The film has been produced by Konidela Production Company and Super Good Films, and the music has been composed by Thaman.
