The renowned beverage company Coca-Cola has released Y3000, a soda jointly developed with artificial intelligence to capture the taste of the year 3000. Employing AI-generated images for creative inspiration, Coca-Cola has crafted a futuristic can design that symbolises fluidity and optimism. Inside the can, the beverage maintains the familiar auburn colour of classic Coca-Cola, though its taste is subject to interpretation, with some likening it to fruit punch and others to a sweet lollipop.
Speaking about the same, Oana Vlad, senior director of global strategy, shared, “We hope that Coca‑Cola will still be as relevant and refreshing in the year 3000 as it is today, so we challenged ourselves to explore the concept of what a Coke from the future might taste like—and what kind of experiences would a Coke from the future unlock?”
Beyond the beverage itself, Y3000 offers an immersive experience by blending online interactions with real-world events. Scanning the QR code on the Y3000 packaging allows customers to explore a future set 977 years from today. Furthermore, a limited-edition capsule collection, created in collaboration with the luxury streetwear brand AMBUSH, will soon be available on their website.
Coca-Cola’s Y3000 is offered in both zero and full-sugar variants, and it is accessible in select global markets, including the United States, Canada, China, Europe, and Africa, at a price equivalent to regular Coca-Cola. However, please note that this offering is available for a limited time, so secure it while it lasts – at least for the next few centuries.
