HTC One X+ / Lumia 820 and LG Nexus 4

It is raining launches this Diwali and everyone from Nokia to LG is gearing up for several key launches in coming weeks. We have some exclusive and some not so exclusive information on upcoming mobile launches  in India and here is a quick summary.

Our source hints at the Lumia 920 and 820 coming in first week of December. Pricing isn’t revealed yet.

We also have confirmed report of Nokia Lumia 510, Asha 309 and Asha 201 launching in India by 5th or 6th of November. The pricing is out as well

> Nokia Lumia 510 – Rs 10,200. This might get a small drop after the first week as discounts will kick in, however wouldn’t be much less than the 10,000 mark. Hands-on demo for sales staff across India is already done
> Nokia Asha 309 – Rs 5900. This would go on sale before Diwali

Nokia Asha 201 – Rs 3750. again along with the 309 and 510

LG India is very excited about the Nexus 4. We have confirmation of a launch by end of the month. Our sources in LG are speculating the price at Rs 32,000 (Rs 1,000 +/-).

Another Android device LG L9 is coming up in mid-November. Expected pricing is Rs 20,000.

HTC is ready to launch the Android powered HTC One X+ and the Windows Phone 8 powered HTC 8X in a weeks time. The pricing for both of these are said to be in Rs 37,000 and Rs 33,000 respectively.

Update: Many of our friends on Twitter have pointed that the US pricing for Nexus 4 is $350 and that should translate to max INR 25,000 In India. We hope it is so! Our source is credible, but not a decision maker. LG might not have decided upon a pricing yet or communicated it widely enough for our source to be 100% sure.

We refer to such prices as ‘Speculated’ anywhere on PriceBaba. That said, another totally independent industry source just DM’d us to confirm the pricing we mentioned. Let’s hope, that isn’t the case.

The Nokia pricings as mentioned above is ‘confirmed’.

  1. Why would LG Nexus 4 cost Rs32000 when Google Nexus 4 made by LG which goes for sale on 13 November costs $299 (Rs16000)? I am pretty sure LG Nexus 4 and Google Nexus 4 made by LG will have the same specs.

Is the LG Nexus 4 16gb version or 8 gb version?
