Compaq, the brand once known for its PCs and laptops, has now entered a brand new segment in India. In association with Noida-based electronics manufacturer Ossify Industries, Compaq has launched a couple of smart TVs in India. These are called Hex QLED TVs and it comes in two display sizes – 55-inch and 65-inch.
The new launches are the industry’s first to feature Mimi Hearing Technology that optimizes the frequency and the intensity of the sound to deliver crystal clear and highly refined audio. The HEX QLED TV range starts from Rs 59,999 and will be competing with the likes of Xiaomi, Vu, OnePlus and more in India.
Compaq Hex QLED TV specifications and features
The Compaq Hex QLED TV is being offered in two display sizes – 55-inch and 65-inch. Both models are equipped with QLED panels offering a resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 pixels. The TVs are equipped with features such as HDR10, Wide Colour Gamut Plus, and Experience Stabilisation Engine. However, there’s no Dolby Vision support in the new TVs, which is a standard at this price point.
For audio, there’s Dolby Audio, DTS TruSurround Technology, and Pure Sound technology. There’s also the Mimi Hearing Technology, which improves the overall sound quality by tuning the frequency and intensity of the audio. Coming to the core specs of the new launches, the new TVs have a quad-core processor backed by a Mali GPU ticking at their core. The processor is further backed by 2.5GB RAM and 16GB storage.
Compaq Hex QLED TVs are also Android-certified, which means they boot Android TV OS out of the box. Users can download third-party apps from the Google Play Store on the TV. Connectivity-wise, these TVs offer dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth, four HDMI ports and three USB ports, including one high-speed USB 3.0 port.
Compaq Hex QLED TV price in India
The Compax HEX QLED TV has been priced at Rs 59,999 for the 55-inch model and Rs 89,999 for the 65-inch variant. The new smart TVs will be available on Flipkart starting today. Compaq has also announced that it will launch affordable models ranging from 32-inches to 55-inches in the coming days.
