Samsung is all ready to announce a range of new A-Series Galaxy smartphones in January at CES 2017. These smartphones include Galaxy A3 (2017), Galaxy A5 (2017), and Galaxy A7 (2017).
The Korean company haven’t revealed any of the specs of these smartphones except one key feature. Samsung Mobiles Malaysia tweeted an image teasing the launch of A-Series smartphones with a tagline “It all begins with A. Hold your breath.” The image also shows some water splashes confirming the devices to be water resistant.
According to the latest reports, the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) is said to be IP68-certified for dust and water resistance. There’s no word whether the A3 and A5 will get the same grade of IP certification for water and dust resistance or not.
Earlier, the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) was spotted on a listing on GFXBench revealing the specs of the device. According to the listing, the device is expected to sport a 5.5-inch Full HD display and powered by an Octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz and clubbed with 3GB of RAM. The phone is said to come with 32GB of inbuilt storage which is further expandable via microSD card. As far as the camera offerings are concerned, the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) is rumoured to house a 16MP front-facing camera in addition to a 16MP primary camera at the back.
It was also reported that Samsung imported few units of Galaxy A3 (2017) and Galaxy A5 (2017) into India for testing purpose. The Galaxy A3 (2017) would be the entry-level smartphone with a 4.7-inch display whereas the Galaxy A5 (2017) will be a mid-range smartphone with a 5.2-inch display.
