Coolpad Cool 12A with 4,000mAh battery and dual rear cameras launched: price, specifications

Coolpad had launched the Cool 10 smartphone in China in June this year. Now the brand has introduced a new device in its Cool series in the home market. The latest offering is dubbed as Coolpad Cool 12A.

The Coolpad Cool 12A is a budget smartphone. It packs toned-down specifications compared to the Cool 10. The smartphone features a square-shaped camera module and a USB-C port. Let’s find out what this device offers out of the box.

The Coolpad Cool 12A is a budget smartphone

The Coolpad Cool 12A features a 6.53-inch IPS LCD display bearing HD+ resolution. There is a waterdrop notch on the top and the screen is surrounded by thin bezels. The smartphone features a gradient back panel with a square camera module at the top left corner. There is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, as well as face unlock for security. 

The Coolpad Cool 12A comes with dual rear camera setup comprising a 16MP main sensor paired with a 2MP depth lens and an LED flash. The device is fitted with an 8MP front-facing snapper. 

The Coolpad Cool 12A is powered by an unspecified Spreadtrum processor clocked at 2.0GHz. It is coupled with 4GB RAM and the device offers 64GB internal storage expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. The Coolpad Cool 12A is backed by a 4,000mAh battery unit that can be topped up via USB-C port.

The Coolpad Cool 12A is priced at RMB 599 (~Rs 6,467) in China. The smartphone is offered in three colours – Dream Black, Dream Blue and Fantasy Silver. There is no word on whether the Coolpad Cool 12A will arrive in India.
