The Coolpad Cool 20 has launched in China. It is a budget smartphone and the successor to Coolpad Cool 10 that had debuted last June.

Coolpad has been releasing a handful of smartphones every year in its home country. The latest device, Cool 20 comes with a gaming-centric chipset, big battery and a boxy form factor. Read on to know what the smartphone offers out of the box.

The Coolpad Cool 20 lacks a fingerprint scanner

The Coolpad Cool 20 has a 6.52-inch LCD display bearing an HD+ resolution and a waterdrop notch. The device sports a boxy design and a glass back panel housing a rectangular camera module.

The Coolpad Cool 20 comes with dual rear cameras consisting of a 48MP main sensor paired with an AI portrait lens. Up front, the device features a 5MP snapper for selfies and video calling. 

The Coolpad Cool 20 is powered by a MediaTek Helio G80 processor coupled with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage. There is a microSD card slot for additional storage expansion up to 256GB. The smartphone is fueled by a 4,500mAh battery unit and runs CoolOS based on Android 11. Connectivity options on the device include a USB-C port, dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0 and a 3.5mm jack. 

Coolpad Cool 20 pricing and availability

The Coolpad Cool 20 starts at RMB 699 (~Rs 7,940) for the base 4GB + 64GB variant while the 4GB + 128GB is priced ar RMB 899 (~Rs 10,200). The higher 6GB + 128GB configuration retails at RMB 1,099 (~Rs 12,500). The smartphone is offered in Earl Black, Secret Sea Blue and Cocoa White colours. It will be available for purchase from June 1st in China.
