Coolpad has introduced a new entry-level smartphone called the Cool 9 in China. The handset sports a waterdrop notch display and comes with dual rear cameras. In fact, the appearance of the phone is similar to the Cool 3 smartphone that was introduced in February in India. The newly unveiled Cool 9 has an attractive price tag of 599 Yuan (~Rs 6,000).
Cool 9 Specifications and Features
The Cool 9 has a 5.71-inch IPS LCD panel that offers HD+ resolution of 720 x 1,520 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19:9. The MediaTek Helio A22 chipset is the driving force of the smartphone. It is assisted by 4GB of RAM.
The Cool 9 comes with an inbuilt storage of 64GB. The device carries support for expandable storage. Cool UI 9.0 atop Android 9 Pie comes preloaded on the device. The Cool 9 is packed with a 3,000mAh battery that supports charging through microUSB 2.0.
The rear side of the Coolpad Cool 9 is fitted with a vertical dual camera setup that comprises of a primary 13-megapixel camera and a secondary lens of 0.3-megapixels. A front camera of 5-megapixels is available for capturing selfie shots. The rear shell of the Cool 9 has a fingerprint scanner. It also comes with support for face unlock. The other features of the phone include dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and a 3.5mm audio jack.
Cool 9 Price and Release Date
Priced at 599 Yuan (~Rs 6,000), the Coolpad Cool 9 can be bought in colour editions such as Aurora, Satin Red and Dragon Glass Black. The handset will be available for purchase in China from June 6th. There is no word on whether the Cool 9 will be brought to Indian markets.
