Coolpad is deepening its product lineup in India with a new phone launch, Coolpad Note 5 Lite C. Surprisingly, this phone will be only available in offline stores throughout India. It is Coolpad’s first smartphone offering which is set to be an offline exclusive. The Note 5 Lite C will go on sale starting today i.e. August 5th. You can purchase it via 3,000 retail stores across India. The phone comes with a price tag of Rs. 7,777, a notch less than the Coolpad Note 5 Lite (Review) launched a few months earlier.
Apart from being available exclusively in offline stores, the Note 5 Lite C is also the first smartphone by Coolpad which will come with Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box. The phone adapts the complete hardware design from its sibling Note 5 Lite. It looks pretty impressive design-wise owing to the metallic finish, which also helps in making the phone look premium. Note 5 Lite C is available in 2 different colours – Grey and Gold.
In terms of specifications, it is a toned-down version of the Note 5 Lite. The phone has a 5-inch HD display with a pixel density of 294 ppi. It is powered by Snapdragon 210 quad-core chipset coupled with 2GB of RAM and Adreno 304 GPU. Internal storage is capped at 16GB but storage can be expanded up to 64GB via a microSD slot.
For shutterbugs, there’s a 8MP rear camera which is enhanced by auto-focus and flash. The front camera houses a 5MP sensor which lacks flash, unlike the Note 5 Lite. Both the cameras have a f/2.4 aperture so low-light photography won’t be much impressive.
The Note 5 Lite C packs in a 2500mAh battery pack which is touted to offer 240 hours of standby time. As for connectivity, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, and 4G LTE are provided.
Currently, Coolpad Note 5 Lite C will be available in offline retail stores across 8 states in India: Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Delhi-NCR, Haryana, Andhra Pradesh.
