Coolpad India just expanded its Note series by launching the Coolpad Note 5 Lite. Interestingly, it is the Coolpad Conjr that was unveiled at CES 2017 earlier this year. Here, Coolpad has undoubtedly played it smart by naming it Note 5 Lite. The reason being, Coolpad’s Note series has a fair amount of recognition in India’s affordable smartphone market.
Design-wise, the Coolpad Note 5 Lite flaunts an aluminium unibody construction. Coolpad’s affordable Note line is also known for its snappy fingerprint scanner, and the Note 5 Lite is no different. We, however, are yet to confirm whether it is snappy or not. Furthermore, it comes in a grey colour that perhaps is the only option available out there.
Moving to the front, the Coolpad Note 5 Lite boasts of a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution. Inside is a MediaTek MT6735CP quad-core chip ticking at 1GHz in addition to 3GB RAM and 16GB internal memory. The storage, however, is expandable further by means of a microSD card support.
The Coolpad Note 5 Lite packs two Nano SIM slots and Android Marshmallow-based Cool UI 8.0 under the hood. The battery is rated at 2500mAh. Regarding photography, it houses a 13MP rear camera with OIS and LED flash. Up front is an 8MP secondary camera for selfies. The device supports 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and microUSB 2.0.
