iPhone 14 Pro models hit by shipment delays

COVID-19-induced frequent lockdowns are still happening in the most crucial areas of China. Apple is bearing the brunt of this due to which the premium iPhone 14 models have been impacted. The lockdown has resulted in the closure of Foxconn’s primary assembly facility located in Zhengzhou. In a press release, the company said that the facility is operating at a ‘significantly reduced capacity. It continues to see strong demand for the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max, however, the lockdowns mean that customers will have to wait for long periods to receive their products.

Apple’s India online store shows a delivery time of 3-4 weeks for the iPhone 14 Pro models irrespective of the colour option or storage configuration. The expected delivery dates are said to be between late November and early December.

Over the years, Apple has been switching its iPhone production from China to other countries like India and Vietnam. However, the iPhone 14 Pro models are currently been made only in China. The devices are also seeing a huge demand over the regular variants since they pack significant upgrades.
