Dell Latitude 7400 2-in-1 Laptop For Enterprise Users Launched In India

On: June 10, 2019

At CES earlier this year, Dell showcased an enterprise-focussed convertible laptop named the Latitude 7400 2-in-1. It is touted to be the world’s smallest 14-inch 2-in-1 laptop. The Latitude 7400 has now made its way to India. Let’s take a look below:

Technical Specifications:

The Dell Latitude 7400 2-in-1 borrows its design language from the premium XPS range. The laptop is offered in 13 and 14-inch display sizes surrounded by narrow bezels. Design-wise, the device flaunts an aluminum chassis with diamond cut edges and magnesium alloy at the bottom for heat dissipation. The laptop ships in a Titan Gray colour and weighs less than 1.36 kgs. Since the Latitude 7400 is a convertible laptop, it can be used in various form factors for versatility like tent, tablet, and closed mode.

The Latitude 7400 2-in-1 is the industry’s first laptop to use a proximity sensor enabled by Intel Context Sensing Technology. It allows the laptop to detect user presence, automatically wake up, and log in to the system using Windows Hello face recognition. The laptop locks itself to preserve battery life and ensure security when the user steps away from the device. Dell’s ExpressConnect feature ensures that the laptop is connected to the best available Wi-Fi and provides faster data transfers than a conventional antenna. The Latitude 7400 supports Cat16 Gigabit LTE to make sure users are connected even when Wi-Fi is unavailable.

Dell claims that the Latitude 7400 can last up to 24 hours on a single charge with a 78Whr battery unit. It features ExpressCharge which is capable of recharging the battery 80 percent in one hour. For improved thermal performance, the laptop makes use of GORE material infused by an aerogel which is the same that NASA used in its Stardust probe.

As for the hardware, the Dell Latitude 7400 2-in-1 is powered by up to 8th Gen Core i7 processors coupled with integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620. It packs 16GB LPDDR3 RAM and can be configured up to 1TB NVMe SSD storage. On the connectivity front, the laptop features two USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports, two Thunderbolt 3 ports, an HDMI port and an SD card reader.

Pricing & Availability:

The Latitude 7400 2-in-1 laptop has been launched at a price tag of Rs 1,35,000. No details regarding availability are known at the moment.
