Computex 2019: Dell Announces New XPS And Inspiron Laptops

Dell has pulled the wraps from its new XPS and Inspiron Portfolio at the ongoing Computex 2019 show. The refreshed Dell lineup features a modern sleek design and offers better performance as compared to its predecessor. Let us take a quick look at all the new products Dell has announced at Computex.

XPS 13 2-in-1

The XPS series is known for offering the best blend between design, compactness, and performance. This time around Dell has taken the game to the next level with a class-leading display on the XPS 13. The 16:10 display offers an edge-to-edge viewing experience. The new display offers UHD+ resolution and is certified by HDR400 and Dolby Vision.

It is also worth mentioning that Dell has baked in a new feature called Eyesafe. This feature is designed to protect user’s eyes against harmful blue light. Eyesafe works by reducing blue light and also dispersing it evenly across the spectrum. On the heat management front, the XPS 13 comes equipped with an actively cooled 15W design and according to Dell, this offers 2.5x more performance as opposed to the previous generation.

The Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 is also one of the first 10th Gen Intel Core-powered laptops in the world. Intel’s Dynamic Tuning Technology kicks in to actively change the CPU characteristics based on the load. Dell claims that it has re-engineered the innards and managed to make the XPS 13 8 percent thinner than its previous generation.

The Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 arrives with a striking design. It is made out of aluminum and features diamond cut sidewalls, black carbon fibre/arctic white woven glass fibre palm rests and a protective Gorilla Glass 5 layer. Other novelties include a new hinge design, MagLev keyboard and a larger touchpad. The new Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 will be available in July starting at $999.99.

Dell XPS 15

The XPS 15 is Dell’s flagship offering. It comes powered by 9th Gen Intel Core i9 processor paired with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 graphics. As far as the display is concerned, the XPS 15 comes with an UltraSharp 4K 15.6-inch UHD InfininityEdge touch display. Dell is also offering an OLED option with a wider color range. Furthermore, the display comes with Dolby Vision.

The Killer AX1650 Intel Wi-Fi 6 chipset promises 3x throughput in crowded environments. Storage options on the XPS 15 range all the way up to 2TB SSD. The new Dell XPS 15 will be available for purchase in the coming weeks  starting at $999.99

Inspiron 15 7000 and 13 5000

The all new Dell Inspiron 15 7000 is an ultralight laptop that draws its power from 9th gen Intel Core H Class processors. You can opt for up to 16GB of RAM options and NVIDIA GTX 1650 graphics processing system with dual NVMe SSD options. Dell has also designed a new thermal management system which adjusts thermal profiles depending on whether a laptop is on your lap or on the desk. Meanwhile, the thermal management system consists of dual heat pipes, fans, and a drop-hinge to keep the heat at bay. Dell Inspiron 15 7000 is available now starting at $579.99

The Inspiron 13 5000 offers a light design with a mobile broadband connection. This machine is specifically designed to cater to users who are on the move. As a bonus, you get to choose between cool Platinum Silver and calming Iced Lilac colours. The micro-SIM card slot will help you stay connected on the go. Dell Inspiron 13 5000 is available in the US starting at $579.99

Inspiron 11 3000 2-in-1

The Inspiron 11 3000 2-in-1 is an entry-level laptop that comes with enough computing power needed for day to day use. The laptop features a touchscreen and is powered by 7th Generation AMD processors. The compact size, touch screen, and the generous computing prowess make it an ideal laptop for entertainment and general purpose. Dell Inspiron 11 3000 2-in-1 will be available in the US on June 10 starting at $349.99.

Inspiron All-In-Ones- Inspiron 24 5000 AIO and Inspiron 27 7000 AIO

Both the new Inspiron AIO’s offer an InfinityEdge display. The Inspiron 24 5000 AIO arrives with a 23.8-inch FHD display while the 7000 AIO comes with a much larger 27-inch display. Dell has opted for a TV-inspired traditional stand and allows users to slide the keyboard beneath the display.

Audio options on the new Inspiron AIO include Dell Cinema enabled via a speaker bar below the display. Hardware options include a choice between Intel Core i3, i5, i7, and optional NVIDIA MX 110 graphics. The Dell Inspiron 24 5000 AIO and Dell Inspiron 27 7000 AIO will be available in the US on July 26th starting at $699.99 and $949.99, respectively.
