The Discovery Plus premium subscription price will be hiked soon starting from Thursday, June 10th. Currently, the annual premium membership costs Rs 299 and with a price hike of Rs 100, you’ll need to shell out Rs 399.
It’s worth noting that the price of the monthly subscription remains unchanged at Rs 99. Discovery Plus was launched in March last year in India. It joins other OTT platforms like Disney+ Hotstar, Netflix, Prime Video, ZEE5 and more in India.

Discovery Plus is an OTT streaming service that offers real-life entertainment. The premium subscription includes exclusive titles and content from 40 genres including food, science, adventure, lifestyle and more. It also offers content from brands like Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, Discovery Science, Food Network, and more. The streaming service supports eight Indian languages such as English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Bengali and Marathi.
Users can access Discovery Plus on mobiles, tablets as well as desktop. The OTT platform can only support two streams simultaneously from one account. However, it doesn’t support the ability to download content and watch offline at the user’s convenience.
