The DishNXT HD is the same STB as the basic one but supports high-resolution HD channels as well. It gets the same benefits as the SD set top box including life time warranty. The regular price of DishNXT HD is also set at Rs 1,690 but can be purchased for Rs 1,590.

DishSMRT Hub

The DishSMRT Hub is Dish TV’s offering to take on the Tata Sky Binge+ Android-based DTH set top box. Priced at Rs 2,499, the DishSMRT Hub STB can stream content from OTT apps as well as telecast normal channels. The STB lets users download apps from Google Play Store, use voice assistant, and control smart home devices. The set top box supports all major OTT apps like Zee5, Hungama Play, ALT Balaji, SonyLIV, and Prime Now, among others. Users will have to purchased OTT subscriptions separately.

DishSMRT Kit

DishSMRT Kit basically brings the features of DishSMRT Hub to DishNXT HD set top box. Therefore, if you already own the latter and want to stream online content, you don’t need to upgrade to DishSMRT Hub. Simply get the DishSMRT Kit for Rs 1,199 and start streaming. DishTV will charge Rs 49 monthly after the fourth month as the usage fee. Users can download all major OTT apps from Play Store, use Alexa voice assistant, and control smart home devices. The kit comprises a Bluetooth and Wi-Fi dongle and a voice-enabled remote control.

DishSMRT Stick

The DishSMRT Stick is a toned-down variant of the DishSMRT Kit. Users can connect the DishSMRT Stick to their DishNXT HD set top box to stream online content from OTT apps, same as the DishSMRT Kit. However, the DishSMRT Stick misses out on Alexa and voice-enabled remote control. The stick is priced at Rs 999 but is available at Rs 599 for a limited duration. The stick is free to use for 7 months, post which a monthly charge of Rs 25 will be applicable.

In case you have a conventional television with no support for high-resolution videos, the base DishNXT STB is a perfect choice. In case you have a new generation LED TV with HD, FHD, or UHD display panel and just want to watch regular TV channels, DishNXT HD should be your pick.

In case you have paid subscriptions to your favourite OTT platforms and would like to enjoy them on your TV, the DishSMRT Hub is the obvious choice for you. In case you already own a DishNXT HD STB and want to stream online content, DishSMRT Kit and DishSMRT Stick should be your pick.
