Disney+ releases the first look of Loki 2; other shows from MCU’s Phase 5 announced

The much-awaited new season of the Disney+ show, Loki, will soon be available. The team released the first look of Loki 2 and the Star Wars series titled Ahsoka. Information regarding this was included as a part of the video showcasing the upcoming releases planned by Disney+ and Disney+ Hotstar in 2023.

Showcasing adrenaline-pumping adventure and spectacular moments, the video, voiced by Tom Hiddleston, highlights the upcoming chapter of Loki, where he finds himself in an alternate Time Variance Authority.  Based on the popular television series inspired by the Marvel Comics character of the same name, Loki 2, set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), is a continuity from the films of the franchise.

Loki 2: Cast and Crew

Loki 2 has been written by Justin Benson and directed by Aaron Moorhead. Produced by Marvel Studios, the show will see Tom Hiddleston once again in the titular character, along with other cast members namely Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Eugene Cordero, Tara Strong, Owen Wilson, and Sophia Di Martino

Loki 2: OTT Release Details

The planning for Loki 2 began in November 2020. Confirmation of the show was released in July 2021, with the crew being finalised by February 2022. Post the filming in July 2022 at Pinewood Studios; makers shared a few hints about the show. As per reports released on December 22, 2022, fans will be able to watch Loki 2 on Disney+ Hotstar. It is expected that the show, as a part of MCU’s Phase 5, will stream in mid-2023 and will consist of six episodes.

Loki 2: First Look

An interesting banter between the God of Mischief and Mobius is witnessed in the teaser of Loki 2, where the former is seen talking to Loki’s variants dressed in different attires. One can also see a yesteryear motorcycle indicating the ones who travelled back to the past. Currently showing the recent timeline, Mobius, in the trailer, does not recognise Loki.

The team at Disney+ took to YouTube to share the details about the upcoming shows of 2023. The message, “Take it from the God of Mischief himself: We can’t wait for 2023 on #DisneyPlus. #DisneyPlusFeelsLikeHome” raised anticipation for the fans who are looking forward to the shows.
