The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has introduced a unified portal called ‘Parivahan’ to check the e-challan status and dues online from anywhere in the country. The ‘Parivahan’ portal comes in handy when you accidentally delete your RTO challan SMS or misplace the e-challan sent to you. Here’s how you can check traffic e-challan status and dues online.

  1. Go to Parivahan portal
  2. Click on the ‘Check Challan Status’ on top
  3. On the next page, enter the Driving License number or Vehicle Number
  4. In case there’s no traffic challan against you, a ‘Challan Not Found’ pop-up will show
  5. If a challan has been issued against your vehicle, you’ll see details of your challan
  6. You’ll be able to see the offence date, offence place, offence detail, traffic cam image, and amount to be paid
  7. Lastly, you can also pay your e-challan directly on the Parivahan website by clicking on ‘Pay Now’
  8. Once you click on ‘Pay Now’, you will have to choose your preferred mode of payment and complete the transaction to pay the traffic challan online

  1. Log in to the official website  and click on ‘More’ on top, you’ll find the ‘Challan‘ option in the dropdown menu
  2. Alternatively, log in to the Paytm app on your phone, and navigate to the ‘Recharge and Pay Bills’ under ‘All Services’ option to find the Challan option
  3. Tap on ‘Challan’ and select your traffic authority on the next page
  4. Enter your Challan Number or vehicle details and click proceed
  5. Enter the challan amount and proceed to payment
  6. Select the payment methid and complete transaction
