Foldable smartphones and 5G-enabled devices have been the highlight of this year’s MWC. One thing that we all dread in a modern smartphone is the ‘low battery’ warning. Many OEM’s have tried fitting a bigger battery while keeping the rest of specs powerful. Now, Avenir Telecom – brand licensee of American battery manufacturer Energizer has a launched a smartphone with a whopping 18,000mAh battery to solve your battery troubles. Let’s take a look at what the device has in store for us:
Dubbed as the Energizer P18K Pop, the smartphone looks bulky like a brick and measures 18mm in terms of thickness. On the display front, the device measures 6.2-inches bearing a FHD+ resolution. It features thin bezels and no notch on the top. The P18K Pop sports a pop-up sliding mechanism that houses the dual front camera. The device is available in Dark Blue color.
The Energizer P18K Pop houses a total of 5 cameras onboard. There is a triple rear camera setup comprising of 12MP+5MP+2MP sensors. On the front, the device features a 16MP+2MP module for selfies.
Under the hood, the Energizer P18K Pop is equipped with a MediaTek Helio P70 SoC paired with 6GB RAM. In terms of storage, it offers 128GB inbuilt memory. The device runs on the latest Android 9 Pie OS out of the box.
The Energizer P18K Pop draws its power from an 18,000mAh battery unit that is claimed to last 2 days on continuous video playback and up to 50 days on a standby mode. The P18K Pop comes equipped with fast charging support for its gigantic battery. Reportedly it takes 8 hours to top up the battery completely. Connectivity-wise, the device features a USB Type-C port at the bottom and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

The Energizer P18K Pop is slated to launch later in summer at a price tag of €599 (~Rs 48,294).
