Eureka Forbes has launched two new air purifiers in the Indian market today. The Aeroguard AP 700 DX and Dr Aeroguard HPA 500 feature a “disease protection system”. They are also equipped with an H1N1 HEPA filter that reportedly aids in preventing dangerous infections like swine flu. These products have been launched to help Indian consumers battle air pollution which is prevalent in over 15 metropolitan cities.

The two new purifiers protect users from dust, smoke, up to 99.97 percent of microparticles including PM 2.5, pollen, spores and swine flu. They can be controlled via the Smart Life Mobile app which is available on Android and iOS. The purifiers are Wi-Fi enabled and can be controlled from user’s smartphones via the Smart Life app.
The Aeroguard AP 700 DX is equipped with a six-stage filtration system. This includes a pre-filter which traps large pollutants like dust and pollen, a lung filter which helps in eradicating particles that enter the human body and stick to the lungs, a HEPA filter which removes up to 99.97 percent of microparticles, an H1N1 filter with HEPA which prevents swine flu, an activated carbon filter which reduces tobacco smoke, and an anti-bacterial filter that prevents the growth of harmful micro-organisms.
The Aeroguard HPA 5OO air purifier, on the other hand, has a nine-stage filtration process. The first six stages are the same as Aeroguard AP 700 DX. The additional three stages include a Photocatalyst TiO2 filter which kills micro-organisms, a UV filter which eradicates bacteria and viruses from the air, and an ioniser to neutralise particulate matter and keep the room fresh.
