We had earlier exclusively reported that Meizu is gearing up to launch the Meizu M5 in India pretty soon. Our sources also tipped us recently that Meizu M5 shipments have reached India. Meanwhile, we are now learning from our sources that Meizu is likely to launch the Meizu M5 Note alongside the Meizu M5 in India.
By looking at how the company has been performing in India, it makes sense for Meizu to launch the M5 and M5 Note together. To recall, the Meizu M5 Note featuring full metal unibody was launched in China in December last year. It comes in Champagne Gold, Blue, Gray and Silver colour options.
As far as specifications of the Meizu M5 Note is concerned, it has 1920 x 1080 pixels stretched across a 5.5-inch display with 2.5D curved glass layered on top. Furthermore, it is powered by a 1.8GHz MediaTek Helio P10 octa-core processor and Mali-T860 GPU for graphics. The dual-SIM phone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow-based Flyme OS 6.0 software.
The Meizu M5 Note further comes in three variants — 3GB RAM/16GB memory, 3GB RAM/32GB memory and 4GB RAM/64GB memory. It houses a 13MP rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, PDAF and f/2.2 aperture. Up front is a 5MP secondary camera for selfies. It packs a 4000mAh battery and a front-mounted fingerprint scanner.
The Meizu M5 Note is priced at 899 yuan (approx. Rs 8,720), 999 yuan (Rs 9,695) and 1499 yuan (Rs 14,538) for the three variants respectively.
