The Frontier model is expected to launch as the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra, while the Miami is likely to debut as the Edge 30 Lite/Edge 30 Fusion. While the Dubai device has already launched as the Motorola Edge 30, the Dubai+ is being tentatively called the Motorola Edge 2022 since its final marketing name is yet to be confirmed. It appears that it will not take too long for the Edge 2022 since its official press renders have been leaked.

Motorola Edge 2022 official press renders

The Motorola Edge 2022 official press renders show that its display features a centrally positioned punch-hole and a slightly thick bottom bezel. Its right edge has a volume controller and a power key. It appears that the Edge 2022 is equipped with an in-screen fingerprint scanner.

The Edge 2022’s back panel has curved edges. It is fitted with an LED flash-assisted triple camera unit with Quad Pixel technology. The company’s logo can be seen at the centre. The bottom side of the device features a speaker grille, a USB Type-C port, a microphone, and a SIM card slot. The device does not feature a 3.5mm audio jack.

Motorola Edge 2022 specifications (rumoured)

The Motorola Edge 2022 will house a 6.5-inch P-OLED display that delivers a Full HD+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. For selfies, it will have a 32-megapixel front-facing camera. Its rear camera setup will comprise a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS support, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide snapper, and a 2-megapixel depth assist lens.

The device will be powered by a new MediaTek chip, which has an MT6879 model number. Reports have revealed that the SoC has 2 x Cortex-A78 CPU cores working at 2.6GHz, 6 x Cortex-A55 CPU cores ticking at 2.0GHz, and a Mali-G79 GPU. The device is expected to arrive with 6GB / 8GB of RAM and 128GB / 256GB of internal storage. While it is said to pack a 6,000mAh battery, there is no word on its fast-charging capabilities. The device measures 160.8 x 74.2 x 8.2mm.

The Edge 2022 is speculated to arrive with stylus support like the Edge 30 Pro. Rumours are rife that it may debut in Q3 2022.
