Chinese smartphone brand nubia seems to be quite busy these days. They have launched a slew of smartphones in India. Just yesterday the company launched the nubia N2 at the price of Rs 15,999. Now, as per our sources, the company is planning to launch its flagship device nubia Z17 in India in coming weeks. In fact the device is already being tested by nubia in India.
The nubia Z17 was unveiled in China last month featuring the flagship chipset Snapdragon 835. Also, it’s the first ever smartphone to incorporate the newly announced Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+ technology. As per the Qualcomm, it is 15 percent faster than all of its predecessors and will generate lesser heat. It promises to charge the phone from zero to 50 percent in just 25 minutes.
The nubia Z17 sports a sleek all-metal premium looking unibody design featuring virtually bezel-less display. The phone comes in five different colour options – Aurora Blue, Black Gold, Obsidian Black, Solar Gold, and Flame Red. Specs-wise, the device puts on a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Underneath it, Qualcomm’s latest crown in the jewel octa-core Snapdragon 835 chipset runs the show. The phone has been launched in China with three variants with different combinations of RAM and storage – 6GB/64GB, 6GB/128GB, and 8GB/128GB respectively. However, it is not clear which variant will make through the Indian market.
For photography, the nubia Z17 sports a dual rear camera setup featuring one 23-megapixel and a 13-megapixel lens that support 2x optical zoom. Accompanying the dual camera setup, the Z17 also gets the 10x dynamic zoom, f/1.8 aperture, LED flash support, and more. Up front, the phone flaunts a 16-megapixel snapper for video chats and selfies.
It packs in a 3,200mAh battery back by Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+ technology. Furthermore, the phone also gets a feature called NeoPower 3.0, which essentially suspends unnecessary background processes to increase the battery life. On connectivity front, the nubia Z17 gets 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, GLONASS, NFC, IR Blaster, and USB Type-C port. The handset measures at 152.6×72.4×7.6m and weighs 173 grams.
The pricing of the phone starts at CNY 2,799 (Rs. 26,400) in China. If nubia comes up with such a competitive pricing for the India market too, it would make a good fight against the likes of OnePlus 5 and Honor 8 Pro.
