OPPO Reno 8 5G, Reno 8 Pro 5G rumoured specifications
OPPO unveiled the Reno 8, Reno 8 Pro, and Reno 8 Pro+ in China in May 2022. These devices are equipped with Dimensity 1300, Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, and Dimensity 8100-Max, respectively. However, only two of these devices will make it to India. The first is the vanilla model, and the second is the Reno 8 Pro, which will arrive as a rebranded version of China’s Reno 8 Pro+. The rebranding became evident when the Reno 8 trio appeared on the Bluetooth SIG certification site in June.
OPPO’s website mentions that the Reno 8 series buyers will get benefits like a one-time screen replacement (only for the Pro model), a 10 per cent discount of up to Rs 4,000, an extra discount of up to Rs 3,000 on exchanging an OPPO device, and 80 per cent off for getting OPPO Care+ service.
The Reno 8 will arrive with a 6.43-inch AMOLED display, while the Reno 8 Pro will sport a larger 6.7-inch AMOLED screen. Both phones will offer Full HD+ resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The Reno 8 series will support up to a 120Hz refresh rate and an in-screen fingerprint scanner.
The Reno 8 has a punch-hole placed at the top-left corner, while the Pro model has it in the top-centre position. The rear shell of the vanilla model seems to be made up of polycarbonate material, while the Pro edition may feature a glass back. OPPO has confirmed that the thickness of the Reno 8 Pro is only 7.34mm.
As per the information, OPPO is expected to also announce OPPO Pad Air and Enco X2 at this event. However, there is no information available on the price of these devices. Both devices were announced earlier this year in China for RMB 1,299 (~Rs 15,350) and RMB 999 (~Rs 11,800), respectively.
