Earlier today, POCO confirmed the launch date for its much-talked about POCO M5 smartphone. The company has sent out block your date invites for a September 5 launch. However, now we have got to know from our trusted sources that POCO M5 may not be the only smartphone being unveiled on that day. It seems POCO M5s may also be launched on the same date. Furthermore, our sources have confirmed that POCO M5s in three colour options – Grey, Blue and White. The marketing names for these colours are yet to be revealed.

That’s not all. Our sources tell us that POCO M5s will come in three storage variants. The first variant will have 4GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. The second one with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage and third with 6GB of RAM and 128GV of internal storage.

POCO M5s specification (rumoured)
A few days ago, POCO M5s had made an appearance on TUV Rheinland certification site. Through this sighting, it was revealed that the smartphone sports the model number 2207117BPG. As per the leaks, the mentioned certification was issued for the handset on Jul 15, 2022. However, no other details on specifications were mentioned in this leak.

Earlier leak had suggested that POCO M5 4G will be powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 chipset. As far as other specifications are concerned, it may come with a 6.58-inch LCD screen, which may offer a Full HD+ resolution. The Helio G99-powered device may also come in three storage options, which includes 4GB +64 GB, 4GB+128 GB and 6GB +128GB.
The POCO M5 could be backed by a 5,000mAh battery that will support 33W fast charging. The device may come equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The device may boot to Android 12 OS with MIUI 13 on top. It may arrive with the usual connectivity options, such as dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The leaks also suggest that POCO M5 will have an attractive design as it will retain the leather-like design on the rear shell.
POCO M5 4G price in India, launch timeframe (rumoured)
The 4G variant of POCO M5 4G is expected to cost less than Rs 15,000, which could be the price of the base variant.
Earlier this year, POCO launched the POCO M4 Pro 5G, POCO Pro 4G, and POCO M4 5G in India. While the company has already rolled out invites for the launch of POCO M5, we are yet to know if POCO M5s will be making it way to India at the same time.
