Exclusive: Vivo Y53 To Launch In India For Rs 9,999

Vivo Mobiles is geared up to launch the Y53 in India tomorrow. The smartphone was launched in Malaysia 2 weeks back and we were expecting the device to land in India soon. We can now confirm from our sources that the devices will available on sale from tomorrow i.e. 11th Mar 2017.

Vivo Y53 Crown Gold

The Vivo Y53 is a budget smartphone from the Chinese manufacturer and has some decent specifications. The 5-inch display sports a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels. Powering the phone is a Snapdragon 425 processor that is clocked at 1.4GHz. The phone has 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage (12GB user available). The storage is further expandable via a MicroSD card slot up to 256GB.

The budget handset runs on Funtouch OS on top of Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It features an 8-megapixel camera at the back with a F/2.0 aperture and LED flash. At the front, it has a 5-megapixel camera for selfies. It packs in a 2500mAh battery and has a plastic body with a metal frame. The smartphone is 4G enabled with VoLTE support and has two slots for Micro SIM cards. The phone measures 144.2 × 71.4 × 7.64 mm and weighs 137gms. The phone is priced at Rs 9,999 and will be available in Crown Gold and Silver Grey.

At this price, the Vivo Y53 will face some stiff competition from the Xiaomi Redmi 3s Prime. The Prime packs in a more powerful Snapdragon 430 processor with 3GB of RAM. As a bonus, it also gets a fingerprint scanner at the back for convenience and security.
