The FaceApp photo editing app has become a viral sensation. The app offers age-filters that lets users get a glimpse of their future self. However, the app now seems to be blocking users from India. Several users have been complaining about the same on social media, however, the company is yet to issue a response.
That being said FaceApp is still available on Google PlayStore and iOS App Store. However, many FaceApp users in India are greeted by the following message “Something went wrong, Please try again.” Meanwhile, iOS users are getting a different message that says “ApiRequestError error 6 – Operation couldn’t be completed.” We tried out using FaceApp on iOS and Android and were greeted with the same error.
FaceApp uses AI to add various effects to your face. The age filter will show how you might look after ageing. The app swiftly climbed ranks and is currently the number one free app in the Apple App Store. E
Meanwhile, there’s been concern about FaceApp’s privacy policies.

The above excerpt from terms & conditions gives the app the right to use, reproduce or distribute your images publicly. In other words, you lose your rights to your photos, while FaceApp can use the same according to their whims and fancies.
