FAU-G went live on the Google Play Store yesterday. The Indian alternative to PUBG Mobile has been up for pre-registration on the Play Store for couple of days now. nCore Games, the developer of FAU-G, has now announced that it has witnessed a record number of pre-registrations in the first 24 hours. According to the company, FAU-G pre-registrations in India crossed 1 million on the first day itself.
The buzz around the game has been high since the Bollywood actor, Akshay Kumar and Vishal Gondal, CEO of nCore Games announced it on their Instagram handles. Notably, the game has been developed with mentorship from Akshay Kumar. While FAU-G is being touted as the PUBG Mobile alternative, nCore Games has stated that it’s is not a battle royale game like PUBG Mobile.
FAUG-G hits 1 million pre-registrations in under 24 hours
According to the tweet shared by nCore Games, this is the highest number of pre-registrations recorded in India on the first day. The brand has also shared a poster of the game claiming that FAU-G received 1.06 million pre-registration in 24 hours.
The response can be attributed to the void created by PUBG Mobile, the star power of Akshay Kumar and the “Aatmanribhar App” initiative by the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
FAU-G is short for Fearless And United Guards and will touch upon the sacrifices made by Indian soldiers. It’s a third-person brawler game and not a battle royale game like PUBG Mobile. However, nCore Games has revealed that a battle royale mode might come to the game in future.
As of now, not much is known about the game except that it will be played at a level on the Galwan Valley without any guns. Additionally, Users can play in single-player or multiplayer modes. Interested players can visit Google Play Store to pre-register.
