FAU:G game announced: a made in India alternative to PUBG Mobile

On: September 4, 2020

PUBG Mobile and PUBG Mobile Lite were recently banned by the government of India. This has opened the doors for Indian developers to launch their own battle royale game, and one such game has already been announced. Developed by nCore Games, the new game is called Fearless And United: Guards or FAU:G.

The latest game has been announced on the Instagram handles of the Bollywood star Akshay Kumar and Vishal Gondal, CEO of GOQii. Gondal has stated that the new game is a response to the “Aatmanribhar App” initiative by the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

FAU:G is a new made in India game that will replace PUBG Mobile

According to the tweet shared by Gondal, the game has been developed with mentorship from Akshay Kumar. He reveals that 20 percent of net revenue from the game will be donated to the Bharat Ke Veer trust, which is a fund-raising initiative by the Ministry of Home Affairs on behalf of the Indian paramilitary forces.

Akshay Kumar also revealed in his Instagram caption that the game will touch upon the sacrifices made by Indian soldiers besides providing entertainment. The new announcement comes just a couple of days after the government banned 118 apps in India including the popular battle royale games – PUBG Mobile and PUBG Mobile Lite.

While the announcements by Gondal and Kumar haven’t revealed any significant details about the soon-to-be-launched game, we can expect it to be similar to PUBG Mobile in terms of gameplay. The teaser image shared on social media hints at a first person, player vs player shooter game. We will know more about the game and its availability in the coming days.
