Flipkart has launched the MarQ TurboStream stick in the Indian market. The streaming stick will directly compete against the likes of Amazon Fire Stick which also comes in a 4K option. While Flipkart’s MarQ TurboStream streaming stick has been launched with Google Assistant support, Amazon’s Fire TV Stick features Alexa-based voice control. Recently, Airtel also launched its own Android-based streaming devices in the form of the Xstream Stick and Xstream Box. Both devices offer access to Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and YouTube, as well as the Google Play Store to download additional apps.
Flipkart MarQ TurboStream streaming stick specifications and features
The MarQ TurboStream runs Android 9 Pie and as per Flipkart, supports all apps available on the Google Play Store. It allows users to stream in full HD resolution of 1,080 x 1,920 pixels, with a maximum refresh rate of 60Hz. The MarQ TruboStream stick also houses 3GB of DDR3 RAM, 8GB of internal storage and support for 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi bands. The remote control provided with the stick provides voice-control functionality with Google Assistant, and hotkeys for YouTube and Netflix. Moreover, the stick comes with Dolby Audio and built-in Chromecast, with the latter allowing you to mirror smartphone content on the television screen. The TurboStream supports streaming services like Netflix, Youtube, Alt Balaji, Voot, Hotstar and more.
