This time, Free Fire has taken inspiration from Netflix’s hit Squid Games TV show for a new Red Light, Green Light mode.

The mode is inspired by the first challenge called Red Light, Green Light and it is one of the most interesting takes Garena could’ve taken for its battle royale title. Inside the game, the Red Light, Green Light mode features 50 random players who take the Red Light, Green Light challenge, and out of those, only one will become the surviving winner.

Free Fire has introduced a new mode inspired by Netflix’s Squid Games
The South Korean thriller action TV series – Squid Games became one of the most successful shows on Netflix, paving the way into the world of South Korean Drama to audiences. In celebration of the show’s success, Free Fire included a new gaming mode called Red Light, Green Light. This new mode happens to be the name of the first game played in the Netflix Squid Games series. The mode is available inside the “Modes” section of the Free Fire app and will be available between October 16th, 2021 to October 25th, 2021.
Free Fire Red Light, Green Light mode: how to download
The Garena Free Fire Red Light, Green Light mode is now available for both Android and iOS users. Ensure that you’ve updated the game to the latest version to play this mode. The mode size is about 202MB, and by updating your game to the latest version, you can access the mode inside Battle Royale/Modes section. Here is how you can find this mode inside Free Fire.
- Update Garena Free Fire via App Store or Google Play Store.
- Tap on the Battle Royale/Modes option and scroll horizontally
- Tap on the “Red Light, Green Light” banner.
- Now, tap on the “Start” button to play the game.
Free Fire Red Light, Green Light mode: how to play
As mentioned above, the Free Fire Red Light, Green Light mode is inspired from the first episode of Netflix Squid Games. Once you enter into the mode, you’ll be joined by other players wearing the same outfit as you. The goal here is to go to the finish line without getting noticed by the doll. The doll is designed in a way that it will sing a melody and turn back to the players every 2-5 seconds.
If you move after the doll stops singing, you’ll die instantly via lighting. The best way to win this game is to move slowly, and keep your eyes on the doll. However, you have to make sure you finish the race before the time runs out. Whoever passes the finish line first will be selected as the winner.
