Fujifilm Instax Mini Link smartphone printer launched in India: price, specifications

Fujifilm offers a series of instant cameras under its Instax Mini series. The brand recently launched the Instax Mini 11 instant camera in India with a price tag of Rs 5,999. The successor to the Instax Mini 9 came after a gap of three years and brought features like automatic exposure and a selfie mode.

Now, the company has launched another new Instax device in India, and this time it’s not a camera itself but a companion to your smartphone. The latest launch from the brand is dubbed Instax Mini Link and happens to be a portable printer that can be connected to the smartphone to print credit card-sized copies of your pictures.

The Fujifilm Instax Mini Link, as mentioned before, is a compact pocket-sized printer for your smartphone camera. The printer connects to the smartphone using Bluetooth and lets users print pictures straight from their gallery. The printer uses mini-format film called “Mermaid Tail”, which comes in a pack of 10. The printer uses a dedicated app, which lets users edit images before printing. The Instax Mini Link can print a single image in just 12 seconds and can print 100 images in a single charge.

There’s a Video Print feature in the app, which lets users select a video from the gallery and pick the frame of the best moment and print it out. Additionally, there’s a “Match Print” functionality, which can examine a user’s compatibility with someone through a randomly selected picture of the “Precision Diagnosis” mode, that asks a series of questions apart from shooting a photo of two people in question.

The Instax Mini Link also has a “Party Print” feature, which lets multiple users connect to the app using a QR code and create a collage. This feature also has a “Surprise Mode”, where the user doesn’t know what others are adding and has no clue until they actually print out the image.

The Instax Mini Link can also be used as a remote shutter for your smartphone camera. Users can hold the printer and put the power button facing down to zoom in and facing up to zoom out. To click the picture, users have to press the power button once.

The users of Fujifilm X and GFX series digital camera can also use the Fujifilm Camera Remote app to send pictures on their cameras to the Instax Mini Link app and print them.

Instax Mini Link price in India

The Instax Mini Link has been priced at Rs 9,999 in India and is up for grabs on Amazon and Flipkart. The mini printer will be made available in leading offline stores starting next week. Buyers have the option to choose from Dusky Pink, Ash White and Dark Denim colours.
