Fujifilm has launched a new instant camera in the market today. The Instax Mini LiPlay is a camera cum printer, and is the first instant smart camera to feature printing abilities. The product has been launched alongside a mini film called CONFETTI and an Instax square film called Star-illumination. Both of these films are supported by the LiPlay smart camera and can be used to print images. Fujifilm has also claimed that the new camera is the most lightweight Instax offering to this date. It weighs approximately 255g and measures 82.5×122.9×36.7mm.
Fujifilm Instax Mini LiPlay specifications and features
The Fujifilm Instax Mini LiPlay smart hybrid camera comes with a 2.7-inch TFT Colour LCD display. The camera clicks images via a CMOS primary colour filter image sensor and features inbuilt memory to store up to 45 files. An external SD card or micro SDHC card can be used to expand the memory further. It is capable of clicking images with a resolution of 1,920 x 2,560 pixels and features a lens with f/2.0 aperture. The camera also features autofocus with an AF illuminator, and offers a shutter speed range of 1/4 seconds to 1/8000 seconds. It can also shoot at a distance of 10cm and beyond, according to the company.
Features like auto white balance and auto/forced/suppressed flash are also available. The camera features an inbuilt lithium-ion battery which requires two to three hours to charge fully. The camera can print up to 100 images on a full charge and offers a print pixel count of 600 x 800 dots along with an RGB gradation of 256 colours. The Fujifilm Instax Mini Film is sold separately and contains 10 films in each pack. The CONFETTI mini film provides a colourful metallic frame, while the Star-Illumination square film offers a design of the night sky scattered with colourful stars.
The camera features wireless connectivity through which it can print photos directly from a smartphone. Users can also record up to 10 seconds of audio which can be printed with the photo in the form of a QR Code. The Sound Record function makes this function possible. Users can hear the audio after scanning the QR code on their smartphones.
The Direct Print feature of the camera further helps in printing any image from the smartphone via Bluetooth. The Sound Record and Direct Print features can be used only when the Instax Mini LiPlay app is downloaded on the user’s smartphone. To click group photos with convenience, users can access the Remote Shooting feature of the camera via the LiPlay app. The camera also lets users adjust the brightness of the pictures and add frames or filters like monochrome. There are 30 design frames available, and they can be added before or after clicking the picture.

The Fujifilm Instax Mini LiPlay camera has been launched in three shades – Stone White (with a rough surface), Elegant Black (with an embossed finish) and Blush Gold (with a smooth glossy finish). It is priced at Rs 13,799.
