FujiFilm has launched a new instant camera called the Instax Mini LiPlay. The camera is capable of clicking lo-fi photos which are developed and printed instantly. It has a special ability to take digital pictures and capture audio simultaneously.
FujiFilm Instax Mini LiPlay: specifications and features
The FujiFilm Instax Mini LiPlay camera has a 2.7-inch LCD display on the rear instead of the traditional viewfinder. This allows users to view and select a photo before its printed. The printed pictures are developed in a rectangular white frame. The special feature of the camera is its ability to capture audio. This can be done by clicking the mic button on the front, which records audio for up to ten seconds before and after the shutter is pressed. The camera then prints a QR code on the corner of the photograph. To listen to this audio, all a user has to do is scan the QR code through their smartphone. Another copy of the picture and the code will be uploaded to the Mini LiPlay app through Bluetooth.
The camera features six different filters and over 30 frames. In addition to this, the camera can also be used as a standalone printer thanks to the Direct Print feature. The camera just needs to be connected to the user’s phone via Bluetooth, and can print any picture stored on a user’s phone. The FujiFilm Instax Mini LiPlay has a 1/5-inch CMOS sensor and a separate slot for a microSD card. One can save a picture on the card and upload it on a phone or computer easily. There’s a micro-USB port for charging the camera and connecting it to a computer.
The camera is capable of printing 100 photos on a single charge. The FujiFilm Instax LiPlay also has Wi-Fi connectivity and its app can be used as remote with live view to click group pictures with the person who is capturing the picture included in it. Additionally, the camera has three shortcut buttons, a minimum focusing distance of 10 cm and a 12-second print time.
