Garmin has launched a GPS-enabled running watch called Forerunner 45 in the Indian market. The wearable device comes laden with safety and incident detection, Garmin Coach 2.0, Body battery and all-time monitoring.

The smartwatch sports a 1.04-inch colour display with a resolution of 208 x 208 pixels. The wearable is capable of tracking pace, distance and VO2 levels in the body during running. It also monitors daily steps, distance covered, sleep cycle and calories burned. The Garmin Forerunner 45 also features various sports profiles like running, cycling, indoor track, treadmill, elliptical, cardio, yoga and more.
The smartwatch is also capable of monitoring all-day stress levels of a person. There is an option for 24/7 monitoring, but users would need an additional strap to use this feature. With Garmin Coach 2.0, the smartwatch can act as a personal trainer. The feature provides free adaptive training plan, step-by-step guidance for workouts and race goals.
Furthermore, the incident detection feature sends the user’s live location to an emergency contact while allowing them to watch his/her progress. The Body Battery energy monitoring feature uses collected data to analyse energy reserves at any moment, so people can plan their day accordingly.

The GPS-enabled offering by Garmin is priced at Rs 19,990 and has been launched in two shades – Black and Lava Red. It is available for purchase at Myntra, Tata Cliq, Amazon, Paytm Mall.
